The right technique depends on the quantity, design, and budget. Here is an honest overview of the four methods we use to print T-shirts:
The classic choice for larger runs. Ink is pressed through a fine mesh onto the fabric, giving a particularly durable and vibrant result. Screen printing is the most cost-effective option from around 25 pieces and for designs with few colours.
Got a multi-colour design, a photo, or only need a few shirts? Our full-colour print is the right choice: rich colour, fine detail, no minimum order. We produce these prints in-house in Berlin – modern, not the stiff, rubbery transfer of the past, but a soft and long-lasting print.
Digital printing applied straight onto the fabric. DTG is ideal for highly detailed designs and small runs, as no setup is required. It performs especially well on quality cotton.
For a premium, high-end look. Instead of ink, your logo is stitched directly into the fabric. Embroidery is especially suited to corporate wear, logos and smaller motifs.

Most of our textiles are organic cotton, Fair Wear certified and – where applicable – PETA-Approved Vegan. We print with OEKO-TEX® certified inks and pack plastic-free.
No. At Printa Berlin you can have a single t-shirt printed, or a large run for your team, band or event. Thanks to our in-house full-colour production, printing single shirts is worthwhile too.
Small runs under 25 shirts are usually printed within 7 working days. With our express option you receive these quantities in 3 to 5 working days. Larger runs take 10 to 15 working days depending on size.
For larger runs with few colours, screen printing is the most cost-effective. For multi-colour designs and small quantities we recommend our full-colour print. For highly detailed designs, DTG is ideal; for a premium logo look, embroidery. We’re happy to advise on your specific project.
Ideally a vector file (AI, PDF, EPS or SVG). A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background also works. If you don’t have a print-ready file, our team will help.
